A Full Day

It's been a full day so far and it's only 10:30 am. Darcy, Sonja and I went to give blood this morning and I was plesantly suprised to find out that my iron level was not too low. That's happened twice in the past. Today was my sixth time. In four more trips, I'll get a ten pin. Darcy got her 3rd pin today.

Always, on the way out, we saw this kitten on the stairs, just inside the apartment. And when we came back, it was still there, so we took it back to our apartment and put up signs. If no one claims it by Tuesday, I'll bring it in to the SPCA.

August 24: Mississauga to Niagara Falls

We didn’t stay long in Mississauga. Though we slept in, leaving five minutes before check-out time at eleven, once we were up and on the road, we quickly headed to Niagara Falls to visit my Aunt Mary. My Aunt Mary lives in an area that used to be called Chippewa, before becoming part of Niagara Falls. Her house is only a five to ten minute drive to the Falls.

We went out to the main drag tonight, which is always fun. It’s crowded, full of tourists, but it’s also great fun. There are so many interesting things to see and do. I love it. I want to spend a week in Niagara Falls, just so I could have a chance to do everything!

I spent ten dollars to go on this big Ferris wheel, called the Sky Wheel, with my family. Here are a few pictures:

This is the Sky Wheel.

This is the loading platform.

This is me in our car.
(You can’t tell in this picture but we are really high up.)

August 23: Prince George to Mississauga

We flew out of Prince George early in the morning and arrived at Pearson International Airport in the afternoon. Well, afternoon Ontario time. It felt like early evening due to the jet lag. In the amount of time it took us to grab out baggage, take the shuttle to the car rental than drive to the Best Western in Mississauga, I had decided that I don’t like Toronto. It’s crowded, loud and dirty.

This was taken just outside the Best Western’s front door. First picture of the trip.

August 23 to September 5: How I Spent My Summer Vacation

This is the story of my just-under-two-weeks trip to Ontario. The actual blogging didn’t take place during the trip, as I only had access to a computer once, but I did make notes and entries that I later transcribed to the computer and added to the blog. Included are pictures that had been taken with my mom’s camera.

Happy Reading!
