NaNoWriMo
Well, I suppose it's offical since I've told more than Darcy. I've signed up for NaNoWriMO, which means for the month of November I will be attempting to write a 50,000 word novel. Check out my profile here.

August 25: Marineland
Everyone loves Marineland!
This is the first picture from Marineland. It's a snail, on the paved walkway. For some reason my Dad felt this was intresting enough to take a picture of. I would have rather had a picture of Darcy as she picked up the snails and threw them off the path so they wouldn't get crushed.

The deer are vicious, vicious creatures.

They had a black bear 'habitat', which bothered me for three reasons.

Reason #1: Look how low those walls are. I find it hard to believe they don't just climb out.

Reason #2: They have way too many bears for their cage. There were about twenty.

Reason #3: You can feed the bears! Now having grown up all my life hearing "Don't feed the bears", this is just wrong.

Yes, I screwed up the courage to go on this ride. It actually wasn't that bad. Actually, it was kinda fun.

And, of course, we saw whales.
My final verdict: The rides were good but the conditions the animals were kept in were deplorable. I won't go again unless they start treating their animals better.

Almost noon
It's almost noon and I've just finished my laundry. Three loads but that was because I washed bedding and two grocery bags of 'new' used clothing. I worked at a rummage sale last Friday and came away with about a dozen peices of clothing for four dollars. No clue how much of it I'll actually wear and how much will end up of the reciprocity shelf at school. Still, for four dollars, I can afford to experiement.
I've pretty much given up recording my summer vaction, mainly because I've gone and lost all my notes. But I will post up some pictures, starting today, cause I want to share those.
Have to go wait for someone.
